“The Tempest”

A play written by William Shakespeare circa 1610-11 begins with a ship in distress in storm and ensues with an account of a magical island inhabited by Prospero, his daughter and two highly different servants, Caliban and Ariel.  Often seen as full of symbolic allegories, The Tempest is viewed as a combination of comedic and tragic elements.
